TREKKERS

Raise funds for McKean-Potter Red Cross and get in shape for summer. The Tuna Trekkers program is here again. See the bottom of this page for details.

Tuna Trekker The TVTA Tuna Trekker effort to raise funds for our McKean-Potter Counties Red Cross has begun. Between May 15 and August 15, walk or bike each of the TVTA trails for a total of 31 miles, and collect pledges to support your trekking. Anyone who completes all 9 TVTA trails and raises at least $30 (about $1/mile) for our Red Cross will earn the title of TUNA TREKKER. After results have been compiled, all Tuna Trekkers will be recognized at a TVTA dinner in October. Each Tuna Trekker will receive a year membership in the TVTA, a T-shirt and other items. Top money raisers - individuals, families, Trekker Teams, and pets - will, also, be awarded gift certificates from the generous businesses below.

Tuna Trekker Trail Logs are available at local businesses, the YMCA, the Red Cross, by emailing tunatrekker@mparc.org, or calling the Red Cross @ 368-6197. You can also print your own copy from this web site - click here. Your Trail Log has info on each TVTA trail and a map of the Marilla trails network. Record your trekking progress in the Trail Log. After completing all the trails, submit your Trail Log and pledges to the Red Cross at 302 Congress St.
